Acura MDX Reviews

Being able to pack six passengers more than comfortably, the 2016 Acura MDX remains one of the best three-row luxury cars. In a market filled with three-row SUVs each claiming to be best in either toured or off-roading, Acura holds its own with its excellent interiors, the plush and roomy ambiance inside the car and an abundance of safety features. The MDX claims to have a well-spirited handling, and based on the tests; we find that claim to be quite true. With amazing handling, sharp braking and a V6 engine churning out 290 horsepower, it can be the most fun six seaters out there. It is unbelievable quite as well which gives the user a false impression of going slow. There are both 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive options available.Acura MDX

Pros:-

The major pros of this car are the interiors. Apple’s Siri is the new voice assistance that is integrated into the car’s 2016 model. The front driver’s seat retracts backward a bit whenever the door is opened, thus allowing the driver easy entry and exit. Small little features like these are what makes the car special. The MDX is quite roomy for its class, the third row of seats is surprisingly large and is suitable for medium sized adults and kids. The seats fold down flat whenever required with a push of a button. Also, the car is equipped with active noise cancellation, which makes the cabin almost noise free.
One of the most striking features of this car is the gear transmission. Unlike other cars which rely on a lever, MDX has switched. Switches for Drive mode, Sports mode, Reverse gear, etc. It takes a bit of time to get used to but it frees up a lot of space inside the cabin. The parking brake is also in the form of a foot pedal something like what’s found in Pick-up trucks.
The Acura MDX handles surprisingly well for a car of its size. With a 3.5L V6, it churns out enough power and torque. The plush suspension is also responsible for a smooth riding experience.
MDX doesn’t lack behind in the safety department as well. It has a history of performing highly in the crash tests. The 2016 model also holds true to its tradition.

Cons:-

A few cons that stuck out were the unrefined transmission. At times the car just couldn’t decide whether to downshift or keep the car in the same gear. This results in a jerky ride. Also, the steering response isn’t sufficient. The car also has pretty average mileage, although that mainly because of the high powered engine.
Verdict
Overall the car receives 3.5 stars out of 5 stars with the pros outweighing the cons. It is one of the safest cars in this category available in the market right now.
