Quick and agile aren’t the words that come to mind when describing a 2.5-tonluxury vehicle. The Range Rover Sport carries a unique blend of muscle and performance. The newest 2016 version’s design is quite true to its original design aesthetics yet is a few hundred pounds lighter than the original. It boasts a 3.0 liter supercharged V6 engine which pumps out 340 horsepower. Matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission and coupled with a four wheel drive train, it can do some serious off-roading as well as city rides. Pros
Range Rover Sport reflects the design principles on which its predecessors were built. With clean lines and muscular and aggressive stance, it instills confidence among its owners. The interior of the Range Rover Sport shows its relation with larger variants of Range Rover, with just the bare essentials on the deck and the maximum controls being jammed into the information and entertainment center accessed by a touch screen.
With excellent on road and off-roading capabilities, Range Rover Sport does it all. With a 3.0 liter supercharged V6 pumping out a massive 350 hp, it’s as quick as it sounds. The lower 240 hp V6 Diesel variant pumps out 440 lb-feet of torque at a mere 1750 rpm. If all these are not enough, then the Range Rover Sport also has a V8 variant which pumps out even more hp.

The latest versions of Range Rover Sport are a lot more concerned about the on-road performance. As a result, the chassis is quite a few inches lower and lighter as well. Being a 5 seater, it’s quite comfortable with a relatively large amount of boot space. It has options for 2 more seats, but they are good for only kids.
Cons
The first Con is the price tag. At 80 thousand dollars it is quite expensive as compared to its competitors, but then again not all cars are range rovers. Being such a powerful car, fuel economy is also quite less. The extra 2 seat options are good only for kids and that too for relatively small distances.
Verdict
Based on reviews the Range Rover Sport 2016 version easily receives 4 stars out of 5. Although it’s expensive price tag and it’s almost non-existing third row serves as a con, yet its brand value, it’s on road performance, and it’s old school looks cuts the deal for us.
